The Eagle 9.9 includes some of the most highly requested enhancements – support for custom UPS rates and the ability to create powerful freight rules. In addition to the already announced UPS Dimensional weight changes, The Eagle 9.9 highlights include enhanced freight handling and related updates to the ship screen. These freight rules can include logic containing shipping and/or financial system fields.
The Eagle rating engine and rate utility have been updated to support separate physical rates for UPS Residential and Next Day Early AM services.
An automatic update will incorporate any new carrier rate and business rule changes on the appropriate date(s); including the UPS Ground dimensional weight changes effective January 1, 2007.
Shippers that would like to work with their custom UPS rates will be able to do so. Simply contact your UPS representative to request your custom rates in electronic format and for a small fee Tanner Technology System will convert them and email you the rate file for The Eagle to use.
The Eagle 9.9 lets you easily define powerful rules which allow you to control the amount of freight charged to your customer. The base freight may be your custom or list rates and it can be manipulated by logic involving shipment fields or any field The Eagle retrieves from the order.
